Gilles Villeneuve became a legend in his own time, a driver whose skill and daring personified the ideals of F1 racing, the pinnacle of motorsport.
With his flamboyantly aggressive, press-on-regardless style in his scarlet Ferrari, he captured the imagination of a vast international audience as few other drivers have, before or since.
His tremendous fighting spirit and pure passion for driving produced so much high drama and deepy felt emotion that he became one of the greatest sporting heroes.
His enduring legend owes much to the elements of tragedy. for he was a charming young man of humble origins who achieved undreamed of fame and fortune by giving his all to the sport that ultimately took his life.

Mr. Donaldson, I would have a question for you in regards to a video interview of an hour or so with the late James Hunt (circa ~'90-'93) at his house which might have been led by yourself or, at the very least, quoted in your biography. It seems to have disappeared from the internet and were you to have it in your possession, it'd be of great help. Sorry to ask my question here but I couldn't find an email address linked to the blog. Cheers.
